Privacy Policy for JustRadio

JustRadio ("the app") is developed by Sunyard Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.

Summary

JustRadio does not require an account and does not sell your personal data. The app shows optional rewarded ads if you choose to watch one from the Support screen; this is entirely optional and never required to use the app.

What the app accesses

• Internet access — used to stream the internet radio station you choose to play, to search a public radio station directory (radio-browser.info) when you use the search feature, and to load ads if you choose to watch one.
• Network state — used to detect when your connection is available, so playback can automatically resume after a temporary network interruption.
• Notifications — used to show playback controls (play/pause) while a station is playing, including on the lock screen. You can deny this permission and the app will still function; you just won't see playback controls in the notification shade.

Advertising

JustRadio uses Google AdMob to show a single optional rewarded ad, shown only if you tap "Watch an ad to support" on the Support screen — it is never shown automatically or anywhere else in the app.

To show ads, AdMob may collect your advertising identifier and other technical data (such as device and app information) to select and measure ads, as described in Google's advertising policy. Where required by law (including for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), JustRadio asks for your consent before any personalized ad data is collected, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can review or change this choice at any time from the app.

Data storage

Any stations you add via search, and your most recently played station, are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

Third-party services

• radio-browser.info — a free, public directory of radio station streams. When you search for a station, your search terms are sent to this service to retrieve results. We do not control this third-party service; see their own terms for details.
• Stripe — if you choose to use the optional "Support the developer" feature, tapping "Buy the developer a coffee" opens a Stripe-hosted payment page in your browser. We do not receive or store any payment information — that is handled entirely by Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
• Individual radio stations you choose to play are hosted by their own independent broadcasters, not by us.

Children's privacy

JustRadio does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
